The Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, successfully organized a Free Eye Medical Camp on 21 June 2026 (Sunday) at the MDO Office, Dakkili, under the supervision of Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital.
Addressing the press, Managing Trustee Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar and CEO Sri Seetharama Naidu stated that experienced specialist doctors conducted comprehensive eye examinations and provided expert medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment to the beneficiaries.
The Trust reaffirmed its commitment to organizing free eye care camps across all mandals of Nellore and Tirupati districts, encouraging people suffering from eye-related problems to take advantage of these services, including free consultations, medicines, spectacles, and surgeries.
Camp Highlights
- 152 patients received free eye examinations.
- 50 patients were provided with free medicines.
- 44 patients received free spectacles.
- 18 patients were identified for free eye surgeries.
- The remaining patients received expert consultation and guidance for their eye-related conditions.
The programme was attended by Sri Ch. Ravindra Babu, MDO, Dakkili, Trust CEO Sri Seetharama Naidu, the medical team from Aravind Eye Hospital, and other volunteers who contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.
Following the programme, free meals were served to all patients selected for surgery as well as everyone present at the venue.
