The Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, under the leadership of Managing Trustee Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar, has announced the Lalithamma Vidya Vikasa Scholarship 2025–2026, a landmark educational initiative funded with a personal contribution of ₹30 lakh in memory of Smt. Chaganam Lalithamma.
The scholarship programme aims to support 120 orphaned and economically disadvantaged students from eligible forward communities in Tirupati and SPSR Nellore districts by providing financial assistance for higher education.
Scholarship Highlights
- Total Scholarship Fund: ₹30,00,000
- Scholarship Amount: ₹25,000 per selected student
- Total Beneficiaries: 120 students annually
- Covers Intermediate, Degree, and Professional Courses
Priority Categories
Preference will be given to:
- Orphan students
- Children of single mothers
- Children of single fathers
- Students from extremely poor families
Eligibility
- Students studying in colleges within Andhra Pradesh
- Applicants must belong to Tirupati or SPSR Nellore districts
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1,20,000
- Preference will be given to students studying in Government Colleges
- Selection will be based on academic performance, financial need, and physical verification
