Free Eye Camps Benefit Hundreds in Sangam and Buchireddypalem

The Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, in association with Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirupati, successfully conducted free eye medical camps at Sangam and Buchireddypalem.

During the camps, experienced ophthalmologists examined patients, prescribed medicines, distributed spectacles, and identified patients requiring free eye surgeries.

  • 147 patients screened
  • 52 patients received free medicines
  • 46 patients received free spectacles
  • 11 patients selected for free eye surgeries

Buchireddypalem

  • 118 patients screened
  • 32 patients received free medicines
  • 39 patients received free spectacles
  • 26 patients selected for free eye surgeries

The remaining patients were provided with appropriate medical advice and treatment recommendations.

The camps were organized under the guidance of Managing Trustee Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar, with CEO Sri Penuballi Seetharama Naidu overseeing the activities. The medical team from Aravind Eye Hospital conducted the examinations, and free lunch was provided to all patients attending the camps.
