The Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, successfully organized a Free Eye Medical Camp on 28 June 2026 at the Zilla Parishad High School, Jaladanki, under the supervision of Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital.
Speaking at the press conference, Managing Trustee Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar and CEO Sri Seetharama Naidu stated that experienced specialist ophthalmologists conducted comprehensive eye examinations and provided expert medical advice and treatment to all beneficiaries.
The Trust reiterated its commitment to organizing free eye care camps across every mandal in Nellore and Tirupati districts, encouraging people suffering from eye-related problems to make use of these services, including free consultations, medicines, spectacles, and eye surgeries.
Camp Highlights
- 271 patients received free eye examinations.
- 75 patients were provided with free medicines.
- 38 patients received free spectacles.
- 126 patients were identified for free eye surgeries.
- The remaining patients received expert consultation and guidance for their respective eye conditions.
The programme was attended by Trust CEO Sri Seetharama Naidu, the medical team from Aravind Eye Hospital, and other volunteers who contributed to the successful organization of the camp.
Following the programme, free meals were served to all patients and attendees present at the venue.
