A free eye medical camp organized by the Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust received an overwhelming response at the Jaladanki Mandal Center. The camp was conducted on March 22, 2026 (Sunday) at the Zilla Parishad High School premises under the supervision of Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital.
Managing Trustee Mr. Chaganam Gaurishankar and CEO Mr. Seetharama Naidu stated that experienced specialist doctors conducted eye examinations and provided necessary medical advice and treatment.
As part of the camp:
- 232 patients were screened free of cost
- 84 patients received free medicines
- 83 patients were provided free spectacles
- 45 patients were identified for free surgeries
- 55 previously operated patients were reviewed
- Free meals were arranged for 80 attendees
The organizers also announced that similar free medical camps will be conducted across all mandal centers in Nellore and Tirupati districts.
People suffering from eye-related issues are encouraged to take advantage of these free services. The event was supported by Aravind Eye Hospital staff, Red Cross members (Kavali Division), and local community representatives.
