A free eye medical camp organized by the Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust received an excellent response in Gudur town. The camp was conducted on March 26, 2026, at Duvvuru Narayana Reddy Community Hall under the supervision of Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital.
Managing Trustee Mr. Chaganam Gaurishankar and CEO Mr. Seetharama Naidu stated that experienced specialist doctors conducted eye examinations and provided necessary medical advice and treatment.
As part of the camp:
- 128 patients were screened free of cost
- 39 patients received free medicines
- 29 patients were provided free spectacles
- 32 patients were identified for free surgeries
- 35 previously operated patients were reviewed
- Free meals were arranged for 80 attendees
The organizers also announced plans to conduct similar free medical camps across all mandal centers in Nellore and Tirupati districts.
People suffering from eye-related problems are encouraged to make use of these free services. The event was supported by Aravind Eye Hospital staff and local volunteers.
