Pellakuru: Responding to a request for assistance from an economically disadvantaged family whose young child is suffering from an illness, Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar, Managing Trustee of the Chaganam Lalithamma–Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, provided the family with a sewing machine to help them establish a sustainable source of income.
He advised the family to use the income earned through sewing work to meet the child’s medical expenses, including the cost of medicines and treatment.
The initiative reflects the Trust’s commitment to empowering needy families through self-employment and sustainable livelihood opportunities, enabling them to work towards financial independence while meeting essential family needs.
“Not just assistance… self-employment is a sustainable solution.”
