To commemorate the memory of his mother, Smt. Chaganam Lalithamma, Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar has launched the Lalithamma Vidya Vikasa Scholarship 2025–2026 with a personal contribution of ₹30 lakh. The scholarship program is implemented through the Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, Tirupati District, to support orphaned and economically disadvantaged students from eligible forward communities.
Scholarship Details
- Total Scholarship Fund: ₹30,00,000
- Scholarship Amount: ₹25,000 per selected student
- Total Beneficiaries: 120 students every year
Course-wise Distribution
- Intermediate 1st Year – 20 students
- Intermediate 2nd Year – 20 students
- Degree/Professional Course 1st Year – 20 students
- Degree/Professional Course 2nd Year – 20 students
- Degree/Professional Course 3rd Year – 20 students
- Degree/Professional Course 4th Year – 20 students
For each category, 12 boys and 8 girls will be selected.
Eligible Communities
- Brahmin
- Vaishya
- Balija
- Reddy
- Kamma
- Velama
- Kshatriya
- Other eligible Forward Communities
Priority Will Be Given To
- Orphan students (under the care of guardians)
- Children of single mothers
- Children of single fathers
- Students from extremely poor families with both parents
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be studying in colleges located in Andhra Pradesh.
- Only students from Tirupati District and SPSR Nellore District are eligible.
- Preference will be given to students studying in Government Colleges.
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,20,000.
- Selection will be based on academic performance, financial need, and physical verification of the applicant’s family condition.
- Children of Government employees, Government corporation employees, retired Government employees, or families with higher incomes are not eligible.
- Students from other districts, other states, or communities outside the eligible forward communities will not be considered.
- Recommendations or influence of any kind will not be accepted. Any recommendation may lead to disqualification.
- The decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee will be final and binding.
