Under the auspices of the Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust, Pellakuru, a Free Eye Medical Camp was successfully organized on 9 July 2026 (Thursday) at Jayampu Village in association with Sri Venkateswara Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirupati.
Speaking to the media, Managing Trustee Sri Chaganam Gowrishankar and CEO Sri Penuballi Seetharama Naidu stated that experienced ophthalmologists and specialist doctors examined patients, provided medical consultations, and recommended appropriate treatment.
The Trust reiterated its commitment to organizing free eye screening camps across all mandal headquarters in SPSR Nellore and Tirupati districts, encouraging people suffering from vision-related problems to make use of these free healthcare services.
Camp Highlights
- 140 patients received free eye examinations.
- 25 patients were provided with free medicines.
- 32 patients received free spectacles.
- 41 patients were identified for free cataract and other eye surgeries.
- The remaining patients were provided with appropriate medical advice and treatment recommendations.
- Free lunch was served to all patients and attendees present at the camp.
The programme was attended by Trust CEO Sri Penuballi Seetharama Naidu, the medical staff of Aravind Eye Hospital, and other volunteers who contributed to the successful conduct of the camp.
