A free eye medical camp organized by the Pellakuru Chaganam Lalithamma Bhaskar Rao Memorial Trust received an overwhelming response in Nagalapuram town. The camp was conducted on Sunday at Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Sai Nagar, under the supervision of Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Aravind Nethralaya.
Managing Trustee Mr. Chaganam Gaurishankar and CEO Mr. Seetharama Naidu informed that experienced specialist doctors conducted eye examinations and provided necessary guidance and treatment.
As part of the initiative:
- 204 patients were screened free of cost
- 77 patients received free medicines
- 45 patients were provided free spectacles
- 82 patients were identified for free eye surgeries
- Free meals were arranged for 138 attendees
The organizers also announced plans to conduct similar free medical camps across all mandal centers in Nellore and Tirupati districts.
People suffering from eye-related issues are encouraged to make use of these free medical services.
